2017 Constraint - Time Warp
Constraint Shows challenge artists and encourage them to expand their thinking. An FMVA committee chooses a topic each year, and the artists produce work that fits their own interpretation of that theme.
Location: The Historic Comstock House, 506 8th St S, Moorhead, MN Dates: July 11 to September 8, 2017 Entry Due Date: June 15, must include photo and size of art work and artist statement Artwork drop off: July 8 and 9 – 1 to 4 p.m. Reception: Thursday, July 13, 5 - 7 p.m.
What artwork would the original occupants of this house in 1917 display on their walls and in their surroundings today? Would it be family portraits; pictures from around the world; still life photos? What do you imagine they would be displaying? Enter a time warp and create their 2017 art!
